about

This EP explores the desire for connection and authenticity in relationships. The songs are empowering, thoughtful and timely--imploring us to wake up, listen and speak the truth.

Sounds of the album:

Recording engineer Dan Silberman of Mama's House Productions says,

"Honey & the 45s’ latest EP release -- Speak -- is an amalgamation of many different complementary music genres. The title track, Speak has a distinct New Orleans soul meets raw Chicago hip-hop feel and features Chicago native rapper Pinqy Ring. Be Here Now and Let You Down both come with powerful messages and can only be described musically as a beautifully seamless mashup between neo-soul/R&B with a sprinkle of some tasty Chicago style blues. Open Up Your Heart features the newest Honey member Sonya Major and brings a new sonic texture in the realm of early Norah Jones meeting the current styling of John Mayer with a message close to our hearts.”
